Aran knitting yarn

  is slightly thicker than double knit (DK) yarn and takes it's name from the Scottish Isle of Aran where it was first spun. Aran is knitted on 4.50 mm (UK7, US7) knitting needles with a 10 cm tension square of 19sts x 25 rows.
